I was honored to have my scrap space profiled in Creative Spaces Vol. 1. One thing I love about this issue is that it showcases a wide variety of scraprooms, from small to large spaces and from low to high budgets. At 8 x 9 square feet in size, my scrap room is definitely on the "small" end of the spectrum. It's also on the lower end of the budget scale. I repainted our old kitchen table and I use that as my scrap table. I bought all of the storage units on sale (most at least 50% off or more), and I use baskets purchased at the dollar store to hold lots of my goodies.
Here are photos of my scrap room, some of which were included in Creative Spaces Vol. 1. My scrap room is right off of our kitchen (a former breakfast nook that we never used because we always eat at our dining room table). It's the perfect location in the house because I have easy access to SNACKS!
I like having some plastic drawers for storage because it allows me to see what's inside.
Here are a couple pictures of the other corner and wall.
Would you believe it if I told you that my scrap room ALWAYS looks this
clean and tidy?? If you believe that, I have some swampland in Florida to sell you. Wink, wink.
Here is a peek at some of my ribbon and lace storage.
I'm embarrassed to say that this is only a fraction of my lace and ribbon collection. Yes, I admit it. I'm a trim hoarder.
Would you like to see more scrap spaces and storage ideas?? Then be sure to pick up a copy of Creative Spaces Volume 2! Megan and Creating Keepsakes are generously allowing me to give away a copy of this fabulous special issue to one lucky blog reader. To be entered to win, simply leave a comment here before the end of the day on Tuesday, January 15th. Just for fun, tell me your favorite thing about your scrap space.
OOOHHHHH yeah!!!! I know that you don't know I have been following your blog and reading all your posts via bloglovin for so many months (years?)... How could you? I think I have NEVER posted a comment... AARRGGHHH lol!! But you have to believe me, I love each project you create! I don't have a blog because of lack of time, and I can't scrap as often as I would... One day maybe... However, today I take the time to let you know that I, a scrapper from the South of France (yes, so far away from you!), am here behind the scene and read every post! And what about the chance to win the new issue of CK??? I'd love it!!!
ReplyDeleteFor the little story, the table where I scrap is under a loft bed (is that the right word? I hope...) and guess what? I hit my head under the bed whenever I get up from my chair! Despite my english, I hope you understood my bad story LOL! Have a great day and go on showing us your talent. Hugs. Corinne

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your space, it looks lovely & bright. I love the trim collection :)
ReplyDeleteI love my scraproom. My favorite part is the half wall that separates the playroom from the scraproom. The half wall is just the perfect hight for a big work surface.

ReplyDeleteMy poor space is in my bedroom in plastic bins. When I decide to get crafty, I dig everything out and my room looks like a disaster hit it.
ReplyDeleteI just love your room! My favorite thing about my scrap room is that my husband built me a wrap-around desk that has a cut out in it that has a garbage underneath. Just a quick sweep of the hand and the garbage disappears!
ReplyDeleteYour room in beautiful and tidy! I'm working on my craft room organization so this book would certainly help!

ReplyDeleteWonderful craft space! I like the bench I have to work on--it is a good height since I like to stand and stamp.

ReplyDeleteOh I want to come visit- I love trim and lace and ribbon. I love my vintage pieces for storage such as soup tureens for flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love the shelves that my late grandfather built me to display all my rubber stamps. They are multi-tiered so I can see them all and they take up less space. Thanks for the chance to win.

I love that I have a small room all my myself! Is used to share it with my mom but she moved to another room! I just reorganized it when she moved out, but I'm always open to new possibilities for organizing my scrap space!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about my scrapbook room is that it is a space all to myself. One of my favorite finds is my punch holder that I created from a rack/pen holder not really sure what it was orignally used for)that I picked up when our Borders store was going out of business for $4.
ReplyDeleteMy pegboard, where I hang most of my tools and some embellishments too!!
