Sisters

This is another layout that I made for Scrapbooking m.m. (the March/April issue). I used almost all Prima goodies:

I've been really into crocheting on my pages again lately, and this time I used some pretty teal yarn. I used Shimmerz to create the rainbow of color on the background:
I have a small stash of vintage rhinestones buttons and broaches, and I save them for special pages. I really need to find a good (and cheap!) source for more of these treasures. Here's a close up:
Things are quiet for me right now in terms of my DT and other scrapbooking assignments, so I'm going to do something I haven't done in a very long time . . . I going to take a little break from scrapping for the rest of the week and weekend.  I think it will be just what I need to recharge my creative batteries!

How beautiful! I love your shimmers background and I LOVE your lace (?) on the border of the layout. How did you get that effect? BEAUTIFUL!!

I did a bit of research on those brooches you were looking for.. some are so pricey!! Here's a site I found with brooches for $5-$15.

(http://www.boxed-gifts.com/brooche.aspx?OVRAW=cheap+brooches&OVKEY=cheap+brooch&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=25322178513&OVKWID=284593518013&OVCAMPGID=453466013&OVADGRPID=9242938901&OVNDID=ND1&ysmwa=60nz47YBy88crknol2ELEc__V-LMRv1cfgbJXE-fwaNWNt5g25iGz8EmvGQrePgC)

Not too bad, but you might have more luck at a thrift store at something better priced?

Keep us posted! :)

Thanks for all the comments, ladies! And thank you Darlene for the link. I'll definitely check it out. I got lucky once on Ebay -- I bought two jars full of vintage buttons for about $10 each, and both jars had lots of gorgeous rhinestone buttons mixed in with the regular buttons. I don't think I'll get that lucky again, LOL!!

Oh ow, loving the crochet ( Im having a really love affair right now with my hook).
I am so incredibly jealous of your button story! I seem to be always 5 mins to late for the great button finds of the century

Sieht 10 x schöner aus als nur einfach ein Rahmen aus papier! Super Idee!
